Well, after watching that film, all I can say, is that the the Citizens For Decent Literature live on at the Walter Reed Branch of the Army Medical Center. This was actually quite funny how cheaply it was made, and the narration given, where the communist lurks (arts clubs, a party, a common interest) could be compared to of course, where you can get pornography (Malt Shops, Delicatessens etc) Also, the title card SCREAM "cheaply made".

I rather enjoyed this film!

A quick note on production quality - I’d say this version is definitely a re-edit from the 1970s. It looks like it was made using materials from an original, 1960s era photographic based slide show combined with very early computer generated video slides. Perhaps the insertions were done to replace lost or damaged photographic slides, or perhaps new material was added. The difference is certainly jarring.

When I think back on all of the episodes of actual espionage that made it to the press, I can’t recall a single situation that was driven by anything other than greed for cash.

The so-call blackmail driven espionage was either a total fabrication to further social goals, or so effective that no blackmailed spy was ever caught (yeah, right). The blackmail driven security compromise was part and parcel of the popular media of the spy thriller genre. I recall a number of TV shows and films that featured some poor tortured soul stealing government secrets to prevent a Russian or Chinese villain from revealing lurid personal details to “the authorities.” Quinn/Martin productions like "The FBI" and "The Fugitive" come to mind.

Then, as now, certain interests seem to find the population much easier to manage when whipped into a state of constant, irrational fear.

Here's another Walter Reed video with the same cheap video titles, clearly produced around the same time:

Great catch - exactly. "Recycling, it's easy to do!"

Hey, that reminds me! With a body like that, you could really go places around here - wanna have sex later in exchange for a promotion? Oh, wait, I remember now, I *wasn't* supposed to say that... I hope you won't blackmail me into stealing government secrets now. Jeez, this is all so complicated!

That Unwelcome Affections movie is a funny movie. However, it's not all that far-fetched. I wish they'd shown that to a couple of the guys I work with! They are always making gross suggestions. I was hoping that the Walter Reed movie would give some ideas of responses. So far, the only response we girls can come up with is "EEEEEWWWW."

Sounds like those co-workers need a visit from Chris Rock's "The Tossed Salad Man." That should provide the appropriate attitude adjustment <8^)

A visit from the Tossed Salad Man would straighten them out for sure! Oh, that Chris Rock is so nasty sometimes... but funny.

I knew a woman who would just start picking her nose. That usually drove the horndogs away.
